Parc Penallta

Parc Penallta offers a wonderfully calm and open environment, perfect for a reassuring day out. As a large country park, it provides a fantastic sense of space with stunning views. Many of the trails are wide, well-surfaced, and relatively level, making them highly suitable for wheelchair users and those preferring a gentle walk. The presence of an on-site visitor centre, complete with a cafe and accessible toilet, adds a professional layer of comfort and security. This is a welcoming, judgment-free space to enjoy fresh air and nature.

Parc Penallta is a 180-hectare country park located on the site of the former Penallta colliery. The park is famous for ‘Sultan’, a 200-metre long earth sculpture of a pit pony. It offers a variety of walking and cycling trails, woodlands, and ponds, providing panoramic views across the valley. The park includes a visitor centre with a small cafe and toilet facilities.
